            Women of the Arts

Seven women were instrumental in the groundbreaking work of Women's Works. We would like to share with you their experiences with founding the show.

We want to introduce you to three of the original founders of Women Works.

Lynn Carlson, Judith Nahill and Nan Seidler  Lynn Carlson, Judith Nahill and Nan Seidler, whose efforts got the show off the ground 25 years ago.

We would also like to honor the founding members of Women's Works who are not pictured: Doris Davis Gallagher, Shirlee Estep, Alice White, Rita Kay Halvorsen and the late Doreen Tobin.

They are the original women who were members of the Workshop of Contemporary Artists.

(For more information about the history of WCA:  Please go to the Workshop for Contemporary Artists on the Site Content on the sidebar).

Without their teamwork and vision we would not be celebrating this momentous occasion.  Thank you all for your dedication and for your love of the arts.
